Altered Art
This was my surprise that my mom made for me, thought I would share this with you incase you wanted to do the same thing.
She took a the 4 pack glass bottles of Starbucks frappuccino that you buy at Wal-Mart and altered them. What a cute idea.
I did a little Internet researched after my rare moth sighting yesterday and found this page that shows that there is such a thing as a "pink moth" and is shows pictures of all the different kinds of pink moths. Just thought you might like to see. I think my picture that I took is much better than the one they show....LOL

Pink & Yellow Moth????????
Well the strangest ~ but most beautiful thing appeared just moments ago..... I went outside to let Earnhardt out to go potty and right outside my front door on the front porch I have two potted plants and as I stepped out my door I looked down and saw a moth........but it was the most beautiful moth I have ever laid my eyes on. I have never seen such a moth this color in my life....I had to run grab my camera and snap these pictures I put my camera on Macro and got very close up. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had to touch him and hold him, he was so soft and fuzzy!!!
Has anyone ever seen a moth like this before????
First Grade Field Day
Well the end of the School year is approaching fast (only 10 full days plus 2 half days, not counting today). Madison had her Field Day last week on Thursday. The weather could not have been more perfect. There was even a light breeze at times, but it was very sunny. First Grade events only lasted until 12:15 then we got to leave the School as soon as Madison's events were over. That was a nice start to a 4 day weekend.
Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day. We didn't have much planned at all just doing things around the house and outside in the yard taking advantage of the beautiful weather.
I had to share this digital page layout I just created from Madison's Field Day pictures.
If you wish to see all of the pictures that I took of Madison's Field Day

Mom with the girls
We took a lot of pictures this visit with mom here, with so much going on...
I am so glad we managed to get a few snapped of the four of us together.
That doesn't come around very often with her living so far away.

May Class Kit Update
As originally planned I was going to have the May Class kits ready by the end of May. I was not able to work on the kits any this month when my mom was here visiting. Plus, it is taking more card stock than I had planned for so I need to order more. So it will be more like the 2nd week in June before the kits will be ready. Sorry for the delay. I will post an update on my blog and send out an email to those who ordered the kit once they are ready. Thank you for your patience.
Blog Update
I don't even know where to begin, it's been so long since I posted on my blog and so much has already happened in the month of May. But I will try to cover most of my events with you all tracking back by date.

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there...it's our special day!
I was a little sad this year on Mother's Day, my mom just left yesterday to go back home to Florida. I will miss her tremendously. Hopefully it won't be too much longer until I see her again, we are planning to go down to visit her in the Summer. I spent my Mother's Day with my two girls and Marty, we went out to an early dinner at Lonestar Steakhouse with my Mother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law.
I did manage to make a simple, but sweet digital layout, using some of the pictures from the Strawberry Patch.

Birthday Album
While Mom was here we managed to pick up a few birthday scrapbooking supplies on our shopping trips and finished a entire album with pictures and binding within a few days. We worked on it off and on between picking up the kids from bus stop, cleaning house, cooking dinner, etc....
Enjoy!!! :)

Strawberry Patch
I have always wanted to go to the Strawberry Patch and pick fresh strawberries, but never have gotten around to it. We have tried to plan this trip several years in a row and finally we made it when Mom came to visit. What a beautiful day it was, nice sunny day ~ not too hot, just the perfect temperature. Did I mention these were the biggest, ripest, juiciest strawberries I have ever eaten in my life. It makes you never want to buy them from the grocery store again.
We got some awesome pictures in the Patch. Way too many to post. I will post a few on my blog and you can check out my Kodak gallery to view all others. We went crazy with picture taking but well worth it!!

I put my camera on Macro setting for this picture
I loved how it turned out!!

Coffee & Shopping
Today was our "girls day out" first we had to get our coffee & pastry fix at Panera Bread & Starbucks drive-thru.
Wati & Kylie, Sylvia, Janice, Mom and myself went on our annual shopping excursion to Fredericksburg. Seemed like the day just flew by so fast....shopping can really wear you out. We made a big dent at Scrapdoodles, The Croppers Corner & A.C. Moore. On our way home we stopped by Memories Galore for the Quickutz National Scrapbooking event. As luck would have it, Sylvia won the Grand Prize drawing and got the Silhouette. YEAH!!! We closed them down didn't leave there until 9:30 pm by the time we all made it back to Colonial Heights we were all starving. Janice, Mom & I ended up going to Applebee's around 10:00pm.
Here are some pics from our day...

Madison's Birthday Sleep over
And if we didn't have enough fun during the day, we kept on going for a sleep over for the same night. Marty went & spend the night with his Dad to watch the Richmond race so it was all girls. Madison had 3 friends (Avery, Audra & Kylie) stay the night and they put on a "Hannah Montana" singing and dancing show with wigs, guitars and all. It was so cute to watch them. I took mini video clips I know Madison will cherish them one day. We also did a paper crafts project, watch movies, had pizza for the kids and Wati also stayed the night and cooked her famous Malaysian dish for Mom and I. The party went on well into the night, the girls were having so much fun they could not get to sleep so finally around 1:00-1:30 a.m. we had to shut all the lights out and tell them time to go to sleep.
Madison's Birthday PARTY!!!
Did we have too much fun today or what, but it was a long, very long day! The weather held up very nice to have her party outside like we had planned. It was a beautiful day. There was grilled hot dogs, the caterpillar game, piñata, cake & ice cream, unwrapping of the presents and playing on the swing set.
