We are finally back from our two week vacation to Florida. We had a really nice trip and visit with my Mom, Dad, Family and Friends. We ended up staying one more day than we had planned. The drive back home was long, 800 miles later, we made it home on Friday the 11th. The girls and I drove down (plus Earnhardt) and stayed a full week then Marty flew down and stayed the next week with us.
We went to the beach a few times during the day and even managed to go back to the beach one evening so we could take family pictures. We went in the river on Dad's boat and did a little fishing, it was Madison's first time ever fishing so she was very excited to be able to do that. Although the fish were not biting much that day. Kaitlynn did manage to catch a catfish, but we had to throw him back. The highlight of the day we went on the boat was we saw a porpoise swim up fairly close to our boat. We did a little shopping and even went and played Miniature Golf. We met up with some friends and took the girls to see the movie Wall-E, what a cute movie that was.
On the fourth of July we had a nice cookout with Mom & Dad, but due to the rain we didn't get out to town to see the big fireworks. We ended up watching the fireworks that the neighbors were shooting off, some of them were very big. The girls did some sparklers and we took some pictures, but it was so hard to take good pictures at night with the fireworks.
Here are some pictures of our evening beach trip. I will be posting more pictures of our other vacation events soon.
