Madison had a field trip to Henricus Park with her 2nd grade class to learn about the Powhatan Indians the first week Mom was here. Mom & I both went on the field trip as chaperones, it had been a long time since mom had rode a school bus :) Madison got picked to be a helper to show the class how they paddled their canoes. I'm so glad the weather held up for us, there was talk of rain in the forecast but it ended up being an overcast day...not too hot & not too cold. It was a short field trip by the time we walked through the park with our guide, ate our picnic bagged lunch and went to the gift shop it was time to head back to school.
