Things were quite different this year with Marty's mom in the hospital. We didn't have a big family get together. I had cooked Thanksgiving dinner at my house for just the four of us. After we ate we went to hospital to visit with Gladys and with some of the family that was at the hospital. Our prayers are with Gladys.
I heard this on the radio station (Lite98) today and they mentioned that you could go to YouTube to see mini videos with this story...there are lots of different videos with different pictures but the same story. I am thankful for all the soldiers who risk their lives everyday for our freedom. You can also go to YouTube right here to view the other videos.
I have been playing around with digital scrapping....in Photoshop Elements, learning some new tricks. I am NO pro, but I am learning more each time I play with it.
I have been eyeing this old red barn off of Courhouse Road for quite sometime now. Every time I pass it, I think that would be a great photo op. Well on the way home yesterday from taking pictures of Kaitlynn leaving for her Ring Dance I had my new camera with me and I stopped to take some pictures of Madison in front of the barn....I am so glad I did they turned out so good. I will be taking more pictures in front of that barn with both girls soon!! 
Kaitlynn has been so excited the past month getting everything ready for Ring Dance. Picking out her Dress, Jewelry, flowers, nails, tan, hair, limo, etc......Then finally the day arrived Saturday, November 15th. Wow she was so pretty all dressed up and so elegant. Hard to believe she is only fifteen.
playing with my new camera.....I love this shot.....I was coming up the front steps and Earnhardt was looking at me through the glass storm door. I could see my shadow behind him and I stopped and snapped away....What an awesome picture it turned out to be!!!
I've been spending a lot of time here lately on my computer playing with my computer software and tweaking my digital pictures. I am loving the Adobe Lightroom softwware. It is amazing what it can do!!
Well we took the plunge.....well I guess you could say I took the plunge and took Madison to get her haircut. We went a little shorter than we had before. It is above her shoulders and stacked up in the back, it's so amazing how just a different cut can make you look so much different. I think it is cute and sassy and suits her so well. Although at first, her Daddy wasn't too pleased, (Don't know what the big deal is with men and long hair....they need to get over that one) but I think he has gotten used to it now after one week. I have to admit I was a little scared when the lady made the first cut, but after she was all done I liked it....and after all, it's only hair it will grow back.
